TOWARDS EXCELLENT EDUCATION: A SHARED ENDEAVOUR
Launching of IDEA-UMinho – Centre for the Innovation and Development of Teaching and Learning at the University of Minho, June 7 (10.30h), room B2 at the campus of Gualtar – Braga. Opening session by the rector António M. Cunha and the Centre’s team, followed by the plenary talk “Towards excellent education: a shared endeavour” by Brent Carnell, University College London (UK). The academy is invited to participate.
The Centre IDEA-UMinho aims at supporting teachers in promoting student learning. With the collaboration of the academy, it seeks to stimulate innovation in teaching and learning in multiple contexts, in and outside the classroom. The Centre is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team and its creation is aligned with similar structures from reference HE institutions worldwide. It endorses a collaborative approach to innovation and professional development.
